The Britten Sensory Garden
In the academic year 2012/2013, the School Council had an elected boy and girl representative from each year. They provided a voice for all pupils. The Agenda for meetings was decided at Class Councils.
Previously, our School Council has raised funds to create a sensory garden on a piece of land that used to be a swimming pool. This was successfully opened in May 2013. They subsequently decided to make further improvements and artificial grass and further planting was added during the summer of 2015.
At the end of 2013 academic year the School Council visited another small school in the area and were impressed with the way in which they held a Whole School Council meeting every week. They voted to try having Whole School Council Meetings once a week from September 2013 so that every child at Aldeburgh Primary School really does have a voice!
