Welcome Back to Class 2
It is lovely to have everyone back into school. I have certainly missed all of your children's smiles and stories they like to tell me.
Just a few reminders –
-PE is on Tuesday and Friday. Please ensure your child comes into school wearing their school PE kit on those days, including a plain black jumper or school jumper.
-Homework will be put on Seesaw on Fridays, please post back their work by Wednesday. I will start to send homework just before the Easter holiday, so you can all have a break from home learning! I will also send home a weekly learning conversation via Seesaw.
-Reading books will be allocated on Friday, please return them back to school the following Friday. The children should also be reading daily on Rising Stars. Please let me know via Seesaw, if they need more books.
Hopefully the weather will start to get warmer, therefore make sure your child has a water bottle and rain coat in school every day.
If you need to get in contact with me please write to me via Seesaw however, if it is urgent please contact the school office.
Welcome to Class 2,
This term certainly has not gone according to plan!
Aldeburgh Primary School is currently doing online learning through Seesaw. This is a platform that allows us to upload all of the work we set and also allows parents/carers and children, not only to access the work but also upload photos and work they have done. Parents can also get in touch with the class teacher through Seesaw if needed.
I upload daily Read, Write, Ink phonics and spellings. I include daily phonic videos for the children to watch and participate in. The children also do their daily Power Maths lessons and some lessons are supported with White Rose video tutorials. An English lesson is set each day and across the school we have a certain subject week e.g. a Science week or a PSHE week. In our PSHE week, the children discussed their ‘Dreams and Goals’ and they had to make birds for their dream garden. In our DT week the children designed, made, tested and evaluated some vehicles they made. On the snow day the children made ‘snow volcanos’. Some of these can be seen in the spring photographs.
The children are reading and practicing their times table daily, with the support of Rising Stars Reading Planet and Rock Stars Times Tables.
We virtually get together four times a week. This consists of three Zoom sessions and one Yoga Jo session. This helps them to still feel connected to each other and helps positive mental health.
Hopefully we will all be up and running again soon.Mrs Norman
