PE and Sport Premium

 

Funding for the PE and sport premium

Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils.

Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport and schools have the freedom to choose how best to do this.

Aldeburgh Primary School has used the money to help in achieving the following aims:

 

• to increase chidren's participation in sport;
• to provide specialist coaches and PE teachers to work alongside existing staff to raise teacher confidence, equipping them with more effective and specialist skills and equipment in certain sporting activities;
• to develop a love of sport and physical activity;
• to encourage children to develop techniques for well-being and a healthy lifestyle.
