I am Carolyn Jones and have been a Governor of Aldeburgh Primary School since January 2019. During this time, I have seen how the school coped with the Pandemic and more recently how the school has benefitted from joining EAST Trust.

I was a Primary school teacher and then specialised in teaching children who had dyslexia and then did courses on dyscalculia. When retiring as a teacher I wanted to continue my interest in education and becoming a Governor enabled me to do this. During my years as a Governor, I have been the SEND Governor and and I was Chair for a few years.

One of the benefits of being a Governor has been getting to know the school community; the staff and the children and fellow Governors. I have enjoyed many school activities -Christmas shows, sports days, looking at films they have made at the cinema.
