  Cycle to School Week

  Monday 5th October to Friday 9th October 2026

   

  We are excited to be taking part in Cycle to School Week from Monday 5th October to Friday 9th October 2026!

   

  This is a fantastic opportunity for children and families to enjoy the many benefits of cycling, including improving physical health, building confidence, supporting mental wellbeing and helping to reduce traffic and pollution around our school.

   

  Throughout the week, we encourage pupils to cycle, scoot or walk to school where possible. Not only is this a fun and active way to start the day, but it also helps children develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

   

  To help keep everyone safe, please ensure that:

  • Bicycles and scooters are in good working order.
  • Children wear a properly fitted helmet when cycling.
  • Road safety rules are followed at all times.
  • Bikes and scooters are securely stored in the designated areas on the school site.

   

  Whether your child cycles every day or is trying it for the first time, we would love as many families as possible to get involved and support this exciting week.

   

  Let's work together to make our journeys to school healthier, greener and more active!

• FoAPS AGM - Friday 2nd October - 3.15pm

  All parents and carers are warmly invited to attend the Friends of Aldeburgh Primary School (FoAPS) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 2nd October at 3.20pm.

   

  The AGM is a great opportunity to find out more about FoAPS, hear about plans for the year ahead, help shape future fundraising events, and appoint committee members for the coming year.

   

  Whether you are a long-standing member of our school community or a new parent, we would love to see you there. FoAPS plays a vital role in supporting the school and providing additional opportunities and resources for our children, and your ideas and involvement are always welcome.

   

  We look forward to seeing you there and working together to make this another successful year for our school community.
